Water-based activities

Dinghy sailing by the Royal Findhorn Yacht Club

At Findhorn Bay there is something for everyone. ……sheltered water for the dinghy sailor, rower, windsurfer and waterskier. Close to the Royal Findhorn Yacht Club there is a pontoon as well as two visitor moorings.

Yachts moored in Findhorn Bay

Anglers enjoy the tranquillity of their sport as they fish for seatrout and finnock while children, ever hopeful, dangle their lines from one of the piers to tempt a crab or flounder to take their bait.

A North58 boat trip from the Findhorn Marina Activity Centre

For those who wish a taste of wildlife adventure, the Findhorn Marina Activity Centre offers excursions to the Moray Firth, an area renowned for seals, bottle nose dolphins as well as even bigger sea creatures!

The Moray Gig

The Moray Gig, based at Findhorn, is a replica of an 18th century captain’s gig and the only boat of its type in Scotland. She provides challenge and adventure regardless of experience and is open to anyone twelve and over.

The skiff “Joppa”

Findhorn coastal Rowing Club 22ft skiff “Joppa” can be seen in the Bay during the summer months. She is crewed by four oarsmen and/or women plus a cox. Anyone over sixteen most welcome.
